Do you want to breathe in the pure air and activate your muscles?
The countryside around our farmhouse offers many regenerating activities for the body and mind.
From a simple walk around the farm to more demanding routes on the ridges of the Apennines.
Here is a brief summary of what you can do if you decide to spend time with us.

TREKKING AND PATHS
Trebbiolo certainly does not lack space.
The property is surrounded by countryside embedded between green pastures and olive groves.
If you are looking for more demanding hiking routes, many marked paths start from Dicomano. You can walk in peace without losing orientation.
One of these paths is easily accessible from the farm, and can be travelled in its entirety, making a complete ring. You can also decide to only walk sections of this path.
If you decide to do the complete path, know that it is a 16 km route with quite demanding climbs. But the views that await you are worth the challenge!
From a historical point of view, a suggested view point is by the Croce di Capraia, a place that recalls a Nazi-fascist massacre of 1944, from which you can enjoy a wonderful view of the town.
The route is explained in detail at this link.

Another very famous path in Mugello is the so called Etruscans Ring. It is a 12 km path that leads from the town of Dicomano to Frascole and, crossing the Etruscan excavations, leads back to the town via the cycle/pedestrian path.

Upon your arrival at the farm you will be given all the information you need and we will remain available for any doubts or requests.
CICLE/PEDESTRIAN PATH
Along the Sieve river, between Contea and Dicomano, the cycle-pedestrian track extends for about 3 km and it is characterized by a suggestive wooden bridge that crosses the river.
This is part of a project, not yet completed, which aims to connect Mugello to Valdisieve through a pedestrian path.
Another part forming this project, is the connection being made between the nearby town of Vicchio with Borgo San Lorenzo (9 km) and arrives in Larciano (3 more km).
The walk that awaits you on this track is easy and suitable for all ages and fitness levels.
In the stretch between Borgo San Lorenzo and Larciano, the pedestrian street meets the Emilio Sereni farm which produces organic cow milk. It is quite common to see the dairy cows grazing near the path together with cute donkeys.

FISHING
The Sieve river is a destination for many fishermen intent on putting some fish on the hook. Remember that you need an amateur fishing license.
The Tuscany region recognizes the license will be valid even if it is bought in another Italian region. So, if you have this document, there are many areas of the river where you can have fun and Paolo, as a good fisherman, will be happy to suggest the best spots.
If you do not have a license on you, you can still bring along your fishing rod and enjoy a day at the lake.
We recommend 3 lakes nearby:
- Citerna Lake – Dicomano
- Silver lake – Colognole
- Viola Lake – Vicchio
You can have access to the lake by paying a ticket/fee and then it becomes possible to choose between spending half or a full day at the lake.
